Mead Square Park – Reservation Policy

Purpose:

To support fair, simple, and community-focused use of Mead Square Park by village residents and local businesses, while preserving the park’s open and welcoming nature.

Who Can Reserve

• Village Residents – for personal events like birthdays, memorials, or small gatherings.
• Village-Based Businesses and Nonprofits – for small, pop-up community events (e.g., yoga, craft tables, informational booths).

Not Permitted

To preserve the character and fairness of park use, the following are not permitted:

• Reservations from non-residents, non-local businesses, or outside organizations
• Events with alcohol.
• Events involving outside sales, ticketing, or vendors unaffiliated with a local business
• Overnight setup or long-term installations
• Fundraising or donation collection unless part of a pre-approved village-sanctioned event

Reservation Process

How to Reserve:

Contact Village Hall:

• Name and address
• Date/time requested
• Type of event
• Estimated attendance

Approval:


• Reviewed by the Village Clerk’s Office
• Events with larger attendance or added infrastructure (e.g., tents, equipment) may require additional village permits under local code 

Reservation Limits

• Up to 6 hours per reservation
• Max 2 per month for individuals
• Max 1 per week for businesses or nonprofits
• Reservations may be made up to 3 months in advance
First come, first served

Rules of Use

• No alcohol
• No full-park closures — park remains open to the public
• All events must be respectful of nearby homes and other park users
• Clean up after your event — leave the park as you found it

Cancellations

Please cancel at least 48 hours in advance if your plans change

The Village of Victor reserves the right to waive this policy for Special Events.
